If you’re traveling in Southern France right now, my sincere apologies for the weather, on behalf of all sun worshipers.
While not comparable to the huge devastation faced by other countries in past year, heavy rain and thunderstorms have been hammering Provence on and off for the past week or so. In Montpellier, it rained 3 month’s worth in just 2 hours. People died, others saw their homes flooded, their cars washed away.
A little further East, things haven’t been so bad, but the past 3 nights have been one major light show with lightning flickering almost constantly inside the clouds for hours on end. Frustratingly, by the time this reaches your camera sensor, all you see is a vaguely shining cloud.
Still, here are a few photographs made during recent days with my new Zeiss Loxia 50/2 lens, which I am continuing to learn and love (complete review here).
